RESPONSIBILITY OF BUILDING OWNER OR MCST
To ensure the lift contractor complies with the statutory provisions.
Examples of their responsibilities (list is not exhaustive) :
(a) to ensure that the lift contractor dutifully carry out the periodic examination, testing and inspection in accordance with the statutory schedule
(b) to report any lift breakdown or problems to the lift contractor promptly for their rectification
(c) not to allow any unsafe lift to be in operation
