9. Appreciation Course in Lift Engineering ( 25th July 2003 )

BEMA & SLECMA jointly organised the above course on 25th July 2003 at the Le Meridien Hotel. Dr Teo Ho Pin, President of BEMA and Mayor of North West CDC gave the opening address. The course covered topics such as lift function and components, traffic analysis and lift layout, lift operation and emergency requirement, lift design, essence of lift maintenance and maintenance management of lifts. A total of 123 participants, including town councilors, managing agents, engineers from HDB, SMRT, LTA, BCA, etc attended the course. There were a lot of interaction and discussion during the tea and lunch breaks, and the Q & A session. More than 95% of the participants has rated the course as good.
