The public should inform building management if there
is a problem with an elevator.
The building owner and building management should not
attempt to fix the problem. Elevator work is work for professionals only.
Only trained elevator service and maintenance
engineers should be allowed to repair an elevator.
Access to the emergency key should be restricted only
to trained and authorized personnel.
